A 6-year-old Floyd County boy was airlifted to a Minnesota hospital following a Thursday morning farm accident.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office says a Mennonite family was baling hay in the 300 block of 220th Street south of Colwell about 10:44 a.m. when the load shifted, knocking off a 6-year-old boy.
The boy was run over by the wagon, according to the sheriff’s office.
He was treated at the scene by AMR ambulance, Colwell Fire and first responders before being airlifted by Waterloo’s Air Care II to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Officials didn’t release the boy’s name.
