Rules

PURPOSE

Create a digital image promoting the prevention of hearing loss due to noise exposure on the farm suitable for printing as an ad design for use on FB or website or magazines, etc.

HIGH SCHOOL

  • Eligibility is open to high school students in the following Kentucky counties: Allen, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan and Warren
  • Entries may be submitted by individuals or a student organization
  • Students may enter as an individual and also as part of a student organization and both individual students and student organizations may submit multiple entries
  • All project entries will become the property of the KY Partnership and may be used in any way approved by the board of directors (i.e. Facebook, website, etc.)
  • If the KY Partnership does not receive an adequate number of entries for each category or if the quality of the entries does not meet expectations, the board reserves the right to only award the prizes they deem acceptable.
  • The only compensation for submitting an entry is the opportunity to be awarded a prize if the entry wins.
  • Prizes will be $100 for first place, $75 for second place, and $50 for third place. Only one teacher or student organization advisor of the first-place winner will receive $100 for their efforts to promote the contest and encourage their students to enter.
  • All entries must be submitted in English.
  • Plagiarism of any kind will result in disqualification.
  • There is no entry fee.
    • All entries must focus on the topic of Prevention of Hearing Loss Related to Noise Exposure on the Farm.
    • No copyrighted materials (music, images, video clips, etc.) may be used for this contest unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest.
    • No professional assistance is allowed. Adults may assist with production but are limited to verbal guidance only.
  • Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is acceptable for high school entries
  • All portions of the online entry form must be completed when you submit your entry for it to be eligible.
  • IF CHOSEN AS A WINNER you must submit signed/completed Release Form.
  • CONTENT MUST NOT:
    • Promote illegal behavior
    • Support racial, religious, sexual or other invidious prejudice
    • Advocate sexual or violent exploitation
    • Violation of rights established by law or agreement
    • Invade the privacy of any person
    • Be otherwise inappropriate as determined by the KY Partnership for Farm Family Health and Safety, Inc. in its sole and conclusive determination.

JUDGING & AWARDS INFORMATION

  • The judges’ decision is final. Entries will be judged according to contest rules, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for high school students.
  • The only compensation for submitting an entry is the opportunity to be awarded a prize if the entry wins.
  • Individual students and student organizations may submit as many entries as they wish. Only one 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize will be awarded per individual student or student organization, and no individual student or student organization may receive more than 1 award total per contest cycle. However, individual students may also participate in entries by student organizations, and an individual student may win a prize and that student may also be part of a student organization who also wins a prize.

• All entries must be received by midnight on November 15, 2025

• Entries may be submitted using any of the following formats: high quality JPEG/PNG, TIFF, or PDF.
• Entries must conform to (1080 x 1920 pixels) (9:16 ratio): which is the size of a full screen on a phone.

Please feel free to share this information with high students, faculty and administrators in the 6 approved counties (Allen, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Warren).

PURPOSE

The purpose of this digital contest is to create digital images that promote the use of hearing protection due to noise exposure on the farm.

These digital images may be used in FB posts or on the KY Partnership website or in any other document approved by the board of directors.

How to Make Your FB Ad Go Viral:

Create content that resonates emotionally. Use eye-catching visuals and a strong call to action to draw immediate interest. Keep the message simple and target a specific audience to increase engagement.

Your audience is farmers and anyone who works on a farm. Your call to action could be to reduce noise on a farm or wear hearing protection, etc. Emotion could be hearing loved ones laugh or say I love you, etc.
