A Dane County teenager was injured this week after being pinned between a barn cleaner and a grate on a farm in the town of Cross Plains.

The Dane County Sheriff’s Department said it was called to the farm Monday morning after the 17-year-old girl fell onto a motorized machine while helping with chores.

Deputies and paramedics from Mt. Horeb Fire and EMS began treating the girl as soon as they got to the scene. She was taken to UW Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
